almost as much.

The whisperers locally suggest songs that
blend a smidgen of
twisted folk, Arcade Fire mixed with a healthy dollop of
Mazzy Starr that, with Reid's grizzled and endearing Scottish
vocal gruff and Elle Ashwell's soulful English nightingale, gives
them an honest and intoxicating vocal concoction. Tales of
revenge, lost love and witch hunts wrapped up in sweet melodies
and banjo laden stomping stompingness.
The Main Hall 9.30 - 11.30 :
BARAKA is a unique
combination of musicians from Ghana,
Senegal, Dominica, Germany, Trinidad and Southern Ireland.
Each musician contributes his individual sound and style -
Reggae featuring a Kora and Djembe, Township with a Calypso
bassline, Hilife with Blues Harmonica, Soca with Balafon and
Flute. Baraka features musical collaborations that you are unlikely
to hear with any other band. This is not just one person's music
translated by backing musicians, as so many "world" music bands
seem to be. Baraka is edgy, experimental and innovative without
losing sight of the fact that entertainment is the key.
SUNDAY AFTERNOON + EVENING
Open Mic attracting all the best local talent!
Anyone is welcome to turn up and play,
it is advised
to arrive on time to get your spot.

KEVIN BROWN TRIO
With Ten solo
to his credit and countless international
live performances from the Main stage at Glastonbury to the
many beer joints of Texas where he once lived, Kevin has
managed to keep a fresh approach to his craft whilst paying
his respect to the blues masters of the past.
