13TH WOOKEY HOLE MUSIC FESTIVAL
09TH - 11TH SEPTEMBER 2016

Friday night in the bar

FREE ENTRY

ANT NOEL AND THE PEABODY DRAKES

Ant formed backing band The Peabody Drakes in order to flesh out the bare bones of his music. The band’s current line-up includes James Stallwood (clarinet), Anneka Johnson (percussion), Alex Pearson (double bass), Peter Wilk (accordion) and Paul Dix (fiddle). Ant Noel & The Peabody Drakes perform Ant’s original music which enlists a melting-pot of styles, be it celtic, klezmer, americana or cajun. Often described as lively and upbeat, these are songs of travel, ale and coffee drinking, french love stories and west country rambles!

Back by popular demand after wowing the audience at this festival 3 years ago as the supporting act for Dragonsfly.

Since then they have supported acts such as The Doors Alive and played venues like The Fleece, The Thunderbolt in Bristol and The Cheese and Grain in Frome

Playing a selection of their own original material with passion and belief. Their genre? Well, if we said psychedelic rock pop blues we would only be half describing the great mix they offer.......can't wait!

And after that.....................

The Carney Villains

The Carny Villains are the circus house band, and a complete show in their own right,  playing stomping swing and ska all rolled out live and kicking with the riotous energy of punk rock.
Starting out as the house band with The Invisible Circus they have stormed stages across Europe from festivals such as Glastonbury and Fusion to their namesake Carny Ville. They can tear it up with a raucous live gig, create music for theatre and circus or perform as live musical installations under just about any disguise you care to think of.
