The Line-up ![]() Friday evening 8pm onwards: Entrance Free Mike Hoddinott Blues All Stars
Saturday Afternoon A great afternoon in store for all you festival goers. Mrs Price's Parlour ![]() Amanda and Emma are inspired by the traditional folk songs Cecil Sharp collected from people living in Somerset over a hundred years ago. Emma's piano accompaniments gives depth to the music and her accordion a girly cheekiness allowing Amanda to weave in and around the melody bringing the story to life. The songs are varied and the repertoire is ever growing. http://www.myspace.com/mrspricesparlour Ross Cuthbert ![]() Ros’s vocalising has a richness of tone, delicacy of phrasing, and emotional breadth and depth that keeps her audiences captivated. She learned to sing by throwing herself into projects as they presented themselves, and if they didn’t, by creating them for herself. http://www.roscuthbert.co.uk 3 Blind Mice Wookey Hole Orchestra Plus more TBA. Saturday Night In the bar (free) Mendip String Band ![]() From the heart of the Somerset Levels come this melting pot of Western Swing, Country Boogie and hot Blues Rags, so prevalent in the early pioneers of the west country flatland dwellers of the early thirties and forties, Peat Bog Boogies, Tortured ballads of catastrophic crop failures and devastating floods give this band a highly unique repertoire that is taking the west country by storm. Kevin Brown Lap steel/slide guitar, Joff Lowson guitar, John Boston Fiddle/mandolin, Bill Crampton Upright Bass. In the concert hall upstairs Entrance £6 CELTECH ![]() Celtech are inspired by the music of the Celtic nations which they use as a vehicle to deliver a dynamic fusion of contemporary and world dance rhythms. They draw heavily on dub and electronica, creating a soundscape which embraces both tradition and innovation. Combining drums, bass, guitar, traditional folk instruments, vocals and sequencing, their music celebrates the evolution of roots music in this era of cultural cross pollination.
